M/V LEMONT TRADER

ENGINE and GEARBOX DESCRIPTIONS

 

NOTE: Engines and Gears only are offered for sale, not the entire vessel.

 

Main Engines: Two (2) EMD model 12-645E diesel engines (567s with 645 power packs) rated at 1400 HP each at 800 RPMs.  Engines are fitted with pneumatic starters. Port serial #12E68A16, Starboard serial #12E68A48.

 

Gearboxes: Two (2) Falk LST gears with 3:1 reduction ratio.

 

Engines and Gears are currently operating in the M/V Lemont Trader and are available for inspection at the Maintenance Shop of Illinois Marine Towing located in Joliet, Illinois at mile 286 on the Illinois River.
